About BuffrX
What it is
A free, open-source Windows app that records your game, saves the last minute when you press a key, and lets you trim and share the clip, all in one place.
Who it is for
Players who want to keep and send their best moments without a streaming setup, an account or a cloud. Any GPU works: NVIDIA, AMD or Intel.
Why it exists
Clip tools tend to be tied to a GPU brand, a cloud or a lot of setup. BuffrX is made to be simple, private and light: no accounts, no telemetry, and quiet when you are not recording.
Everything about a clip, in one place.
Every clip, one library.
Recordings, saved moments and screenshots land in one place, filed by game. Play, rename or send any of them in a click.
Editing is built in.
Trim, split, crop and set the volume without leaving BuffrX. Where it can, a cut is a lossless copy.
Send it with Insta Share.
Insta Share is the link in a clip's Share sheet: it sends the clip straight to a friend, up to 4 GB with nothing uploaded first. Your friend needs BuffrX, which is free. Or post to Discord, fitted to its size limit.
It catches what you missed.
BuffrX keeps the last minute of your game running in the background. One key turns it into a clip.
A quick clip for the funny bit.
Inside that minute sits a smaller one. A quick clip is a short save from the same buffer, 20 seconds unless you change it, so the moment you only just missed becomes its own tiny clip with one key.
Try the parts.
Each card has a button you can press.
And more.
Built with privacy as a pillar.
BuffrX has no accounts, no telemetry and no server of ours. It works without the cloud, and nothing goes online until you press a button.
Private
No account. There is nothing to sign up for or sign in to.
No telemetry. No analytics code, not even behind a flag.
Your clips stay put.On your own disk, filed by game, with one config file beside them.
No cloud needed
Works offline.Recording, editing and your library never touch the internet.
No server of ours.Insta Share sends a clip from your PC to your friend's, directly when it can. A relay, when it must, sees only encrypted data.
Only when you press. The update check, a post to your own Discord webhook and an Insta Share link are the only things that go online, and you start each one.
